Life Story for Jean Claude Francillon

Our father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Jean Claude Francillon, peacefully passed away on August 14, 2018. He was born on January 20, 1955, to the late Solon Francillon and Mercelia Hector, in Petit-Goâve, Haiti.

Jean had a passion for electronics and technology which led him to a successful lifelong career at CBS for almost 38 years. His career afforded him the opportunity to travel abroad and have many adventures supporting the network’s live broadcasts. He was a teacher to many, a strong advocate for education, a continuous learner, and a strong proponent for self-development.

Jean was an avid reader, researcher, loved helping others, giving back to his native Haiti, spending time with his family and friends, and he belonged to a rare group, as a Mets fan. He had a larger than life personality, a positive and jovial spirit, enjoyed having good times, and trying new cuisines and hot sauces. Jean could rarely be seen without a smile and/ or laughing.

He is survived by his dear children, Jennifer Anthony (Jahi), Stacey Francillon-Gonzalez (Frank), Jonathan Gelin, and Ajany Francillon; His grand-children, Briannajenna Anthony, Tylerjaydenne Anthony, Nicholas Anthony, Matthewjace Anthony, Frankie Gonzalez, and Hunter Gonzalez. His surviving siblings, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends. He also leaves behind his companion Raude Brignolle and extended family members.
Jean has left an eternity of memories for us to reflect upon. He will forever reside in our hearts and will continue to guide us in our journey of life.
